Today we will do a quick review of an epic teenagers serie from Disney Channel: Wizards of Waverly Place!
As you know, the Russo family plays the leading role. They seem like normal people from Manhattan who run their own sandwich shop, but they aren't. Alex, Max and Justin Russo, the two sons and the daughter of Jerry and Theresa Russo, are real wizards. Jerry is the former family wizard because he lost his powers when we got married with his mortal wife. The storage room of this family is a wizard's lair where there is a Portal, which allows them to visit the Wizards World, and creatures from there visit them too.
When they finished their training lessons they will have to compete with each other to decide who will be the Family Wizard (the one who wins, has their powers forever and the others will loose them).

 

Alex is the less responsable of her family but her best friend Harper, always help her with the problems she create because of a bad use of the magic. Harper loves weird things, Alex and her are too different but they get on very well.

Selena Gomez is the actress who plays the role of Alex Russo. She has taken part in others films but actually she is a really good singer.

Each month, the TV channel Clan, broadcasts a new serie for people of all ages, especially for children. Five years ago, "Gombby" appeared for the first time in this channel. This cartoon is dedicated for little guys of 3-6 years old. It tells the story of a baker called Gombby who lives in Green Island. From his bakery with a croissant shape, he will teach to the viewers good values like the friendship, the importance of the enviroment, the respect to the rest of the world and how we can stop the contamination.

He is the first to help his friends with his eco-bike. Sometimes his curiosities about the island will carry him some problems, but solve them is not difficult.

This type of series help children to make them aware about the ecological problems that we are having these days as global warming. This cartoon also has some episodes where the moral is the care of the animals and how to have a healthy life.

Violence is one of the biggest problems of our society after the capitalism. It is hard to understand but some toys that we used to play with take a very important part in the way we solve our problems using the violence instead of others peaceful options. We´re talking about war toys. These toys are known because the children in the age between 7-12 years old buy them usually to use them for play games that incite the violence. The agresiveness of young people became a big problem when they are older.

That is why a lot of NGOs don't want that factories make them, because playing has to focus children in the iquality, no in the inequality. This is what that type of things make to us:

 We know that a lot of Disney stars have been in the drug´s world. Some examples are:
Joe Jonas: he was the lead singer of the Jonas Brothers (a boy band) and one of the principal characters of the film `Camp Rock´. A few years later, the brothers break up. But he decided to have a crazier live than his brothers. He said that the first time he consumed drugs was with his best friends: Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato.

 

Miley Cyrus: she has being involved in such a big number of scandals that nobody could lead her. We can check it looking her Instagram account, because she upload photos of herself consuming alcohol and drugs. Nobody knows why she became from the perfect Disney star to the type of girl that she is these days.

Last Monday, it was the World Cancer Day so this entry will be a dedication for those children who fight against this problem every day.
We all know that Barbie dolls are supossed to be the perfect doll, perfect hair, perfect eyes, perfect body not like the normal girls. This created an stereotype that girls and teenagers with cancer don't pass, and that makes them feel different and bad. The Mattel company has created a new bald barbie because that's what happens when people get the cancer chemotherapy.

The idea was from a mum called Melissa Bumstead who has a 4 years old daughter with cancer. The barbie's name is "Ella" and it's being a success.

New year, new entry´s topic: the future. 

Walt Disney Animation Studios had taken part of our lives since the first film "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" (1937). Defintely, all their films are fabulous, but the best one in our opinion is The Lion King. It is such a good film that we could see it three times a day. Big Hero 6 is also a funny one. That big white robot can make everybody laugh, even the most serious person. But today we are not telling you old films, cartoons or toys. It's new year!

So you know that Disney will produce a new PRINCESS FILM¿! THIS IS EXCITING, INS'T IT?
The name is Moana.Moana is an upcoming American film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and the 56th film in Disney's animated features canon.In ancient Oceania, in the South Pacific, the young Moana, a born navigator, sets sail in search of a fabled island. During her journey, she teams up with her hero, the legendary demi-god Maui.

 This is going to be a different entry. It is going to talk about how the violence appears now in almost  the cartoons. We are going to use the example of ``Family Guy´´, which is a sexist cartoon broadcast in Fox. The series centers on the Griffins, a family consisting of parents Peter and Lois; their children Med, Chris, and Stewie; and their unusual pet dog Brian.

Peter Griffin is the patriarch of the Griffin household, an Irish-American blue-collar worker. He is an immature, obese, laid-back, outspoken, eccentric and alcoholic.
Lois Patrice Griffin is Peters wife and the mother of Meg, Chris, and Stewie. She is an American housewife who is very flirtatious and she is a drug addict.
Megan Griffin is the 18-year-old daughter. She is a shy, unattractive teenage girl with severely problems of low self-esteem. The family members treat her with contempt.
Christopher Cross Griffin is Peter`s and Lois` 15-year-old child. He is obese and irresponsible.
Stewart Gilligan Griffin is the one-year-old child, but he often behaves in adult ways, such as speaking in British accent. He is a child genius who frequently wants to kill his mother Lois and take over the world.

Brian Griffi is the family´s talking dog and the best friend of Peter and Stewie.  Brian is an intelectual character who often serves to the family as the reason voice, pointing out how ridiculous are the Peter ideas.

The show is set in the fictional city of Quahog. Family Guy revolves around a atypical  family in a atypical  world. At first it looks like it´s funny, but the humour is always out of context and subliminal messages are not educational. Family Guy shouldn´t continue on TV because the values that it shows to the society, especiall, to the children, can transform your personality in a bad way. This is one of the reasons why this days teenagers are more violent.
