 This is going to be a different entry. It is going to talk about how the violence appears now in almost  the cartoons. We are going to use the example of ``Family Guy´´, which is a sexist cartoon broadcast in Fox. The series centers on the Griffins, a family consisting of parents Peter and Lois; their children Med, Chris, and Stewie; and their unusual pet dog Brian.

Peter Griffin is the patriarch of the Griffin household, an Irish-American blue-collar worker. He is an immature, obese, laid-back, outspoken, eccentric and alcoholic.
Lois Patrice Griffin is Peters wife and the mother of Meg, Chris, and Stewie. She is an American housewife who is very flirtatious and she is a drug addict.
Megan Griffin is the 18-year-old daughter. She is a shy, unattractive teenage girl with severely problems of low self-esteem. The family members treat her with contempt.
Christopher Cross Griffin is Peter`s and Lois` 15-year-old child. He is obese and irresponsible.
Stewart Gilligan Griffin is the one-year-old child, but he often behaves in adult ways, such as speaking in British accent. He is a child genius who frequently wants to kill his mother Lois and take over the world.

Brian Griffi is the family´s talking dog and the best friend of Peter and Stewie.  Brian is an intelectual character who often serves to the family as the reason voice, pointing out how ridiculous are the Peter ideas.

The show is set in the fictional city of Quahog. Family Guy revolves around a atypical  family in a atypical  world. At first it looks like it´s funny, but the humour is always out of context and subliminal messages are not educational. Family Guy shouldn´t continue on TV because the values that it shows to the society, especiall, to the children, can transform your personality in a bad way. This is one of the reasons why this days teenagers are more violent.

Winx Club is an  italian animated television serie directed and created by Iginio Straffi. The company Rainbow S.r.l produced this cartoon for the first time in 2004 in the original channel Fox 4kids TV.
It tells the story about Bloom, an ordinary teenager who lives in the Earth and her five best friends: Stella, Flora, Musa, Tecna and Aisha. One day, she discovered her magical abilities as a fairy when she saved her friend Stella, who persuaded Bloom, to join the magical school Alfea, in the dimension Magix.
Bloom met the rest of her friends in the school, the group of the Specialists.

Like in all cartoons they also make enemies, including a trio of witches calling themselves the Trix: Icy, Darcy, and Stormy.

Their improved their fairies power in each season: Charmix, Enchantix, Believix, Harmonix and Sirenix, the Winx lose all their powers during a battle against the Trix. They will have to obtain two new transformations known as Bloomix, Mythix, Butterflix and Tynix.

The Winx had pets. They were little magic animals that Bloom saved in a factory. They were naughty and funny, they had little wings in different colours each one.

As you can see, the producer had the idea of end all the words in X.
In June 2014, it was announced an agreement with China Central Television for the construction of a theme park dedicated to Winx in Beijing.

It´s time for our FAVOURITE CARTOON!!! Lilo & Stitch!
We love the story, the characters, the film...
You should be asking yourself if there is a film of Lilo & Stich... YES! There is!
It was written by Chris Sander y Dean DeBlois in 2002, and the cartoon was based in this film and it was produced a year later.
The plot talks about Stitch, also called  Experiment 626, that Dr. Jumba Jookiba, an alien, created. Stitch was a creature who was able to create chaos wherever he is.

He came to the Earth and he met a hawaiian family, Lilo Pelekai and her old sister Nani. They were orphan so they decided to accept Stitch in their family.
Lilo was a young girl who loved Elvis Presley and the horror films.
Nani is a surfer who loves the beach she is in love with David Kawena, another surfer.
There were also two aliens living with them, Dr. Jumba and Wendy Pleakly, Stitch´s friends.

Gantu, was their villian in the cartoon, an alian from the Galactic Federation who wants to catch Stitch because he thought that he was dangerous for the Earth.

Kim Possible? Who is she? What about her family?
Kim Possible was the most long-lasting cartoon until it was surpassed by Phineas and Ferb. It was created by Bob Schooley and Mark McCorklein on June, 2002. The principal character is Kim, a teenage crime-fighter who studies at a university. She has to deal with villains as Dr. Drakken, a mad scientist and super-villain obsessed with world domination.

 

But she wasn´t alone, she lived with her parents and her twin brothers. She had also a best friend, Ron Stoppable, he was her neighbour too. He helped Kim in her fights with the villains. At the end of the  last season both fell in love with each other.

 

Ron´s pet was a pink rat called Rufus. It was always in Ron´s pocket and it went with them to all the missions because its small size was so useful.

 

Why Kim Possible? Why not Lusy Possible?

Because of a word game, it sounds like the word "impossible" because nothing is impossible for her.

  Our first entry is going to talk about a funny cartoon that we used to watch on Disney Channel: Brandy & Mr. Whiskers!
This comedy talks about the adventures in the Amazonas of Brandy, a posh dog from Florida, and Mr. Whiskers, a crazy and dumb rabbit.

  All starts when the aeroplane in which Brandy was in, stopped working and it crushed in the middle of the jungle. She met her new "friend" Mr. Whiskers there.
She had to live with him in a tree house made of wood and plane's pieces. Since that, they learnt how to live in the Amazonas and they made lots of new friends: Lola Boa, she was a peaceful boa snake and Brandy's best friend, Sheril and Meril, Margo... but they had too an enemy, Gaspar.
In every chapter, Mr. Whiskers had silly problems and Brandy had to help him to solved them.

  The first chapter was watched on Toon Disney and the creator was Russell Marcus.

Our blog is going to remid you the cartoons and toys from the past. The TV of today is not as educative and funny as three or four years ago. Actually children and teenagers watch violence everywhere, in the news and also in the kid´s programmes. We hope you to like it and comment!
